TOPSIS

TOPSIS stands for Technique for Order Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution.

TOPSIS favors alternatives closest to the ideal profile and farthest from the worst profile.

It uses the same weighted inputs as Weighted Sum but evaluates distance structure across criteria.

If criteria values collapse into similar patterns, TOPSIS separation can narrow quickly.
